Dr. Marcus Cooney
B.D.S. (Adelaide) F.I.C.C.D.E. (Singapore)

Dr. Cooney graduated in Adelaide, Australia. He worked in private practice for 12 years performing smile makeovers using porcelain veneers and tooth coloured restorations before moving to Singapore in 1994. Dr. Cooney has served on many dental committees, including The University of Adelaide Post Graduate Committee in Dentistry. He was inducted as a fellow of the International College of Continuing Dental Education, Singapore in 2001.

Dr. Patricia Hancock
B.D.S (London) B.Sc (Newcastle)

Dr. Hancock is from England and has worked 10 years in Hong Kong, where she taught Radiology and Conservative dentistry; and 2 years in Switzerland, prior to relocating to Singapore in 1995. She has extensive experience in crown, bridge, inlays and cosmetic work. If required, Dr. Hancock can communicate in German and French.

Dr. Leroy McCully
B.D.S (Singapore), M.Sc Endodontics (London, UK)

Dr McCully graduated in 1994 and spent 2 years working at Singapore General Hospital. He also worked for the Republic of Singapore Air Force.

In 1996 he went to University of London to do his postgraduate in Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment). Whilst at the University of London, he won the prestigious British Endodontic Society Research Grant for his study on root canal microbiology.

Dr McCully joined Smilefocus in 2002 and due to his calm and reassuring nature (and constant smile!) is particularly good with apprehensive patients.

Dr. Brendan Gin

Dr Gin graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1991 and spent his first year as an intern at the Royal Melbourne Dental hospital gaining valuable experience in specialist clinics. After working in private practise in Melbourne he relocated to Singapore in 2000.

Dr Gin has broad experience treating adults and children for routine dental care and has a specialist interest in crown and bridgework and aesthetic dentistry.

Dr. Christina Liew
B.D.Sc (Melbourne, Australia)

Originally from Australia, Dr Liew graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelors of Dental Science. After working in private practice for several years, she relocated to Singapore with her husband in 2000.

Dr Liew provides general dentistry to both children and adults. Her specialty is cosmetic work such as teeth whitening, veneers and composite bondings. She also does crown and bridge work as well as wisdom teeth extraction.

Dr. Ong obtained her dental degree at the University of Wales, U.K. She completed her Masters Degree with Distinction in Children's Dentistry (Paedodontics) at the Eastman Dental Institute, London. She is on the Specialist Registrar with the General Dental Council, UK for Paediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the Academia of Medicine here. Dr. Ong is particularly skilled in managing difficult or fearful children. She is also very experienced in treating children with special needs.

Dr Jon Ryder

Dr Jon Ryder has been practicing general dentistry for more than fourteen years in Iowa, USA, before relocating to Singapore. He also continues as Visiting Assistant Professor, Operative Department at the College of Dentistry University in Iowa. Dr Ryder has particular expertise in using CEREC, which is the only system for the fabrication of all ceramic dental restorations in one visit.

Dr. Elaine Ng

Dr Elaine hails from Auckland, New Zealand. After relocating to Singapore in 1997, she completed her Bachelors in Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore. After having worked in hospital dentistry including the A & E department, she is experienced in emergency/trauma situations and fearful patients. Her expertise lies within cosmetic dentistry including crowns, bridges and whitening. She is able to perform wisdom teeth extractions and minor surgeries and enjoys working with children of all ages.

Dr. Winston Tan

Dr Winston Tan received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1992 and achieved a Masters of Dental Surgery in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1997. Both degrees are from the National University of Singapore. Dr Tan has conducted many workshops and lectures related to implant dentistry in Singapore and internationally. His current clinical work encompasses oral implantology, dento-alveolar surgery, orthognathic surgery and management of oral pathology.
