Read below to learn a little more about Dr Thushala .
Why did you choose to specialise in Orthodontics?
I particularly enjoy putting crooked teeth to rights, I see it as a huge jigsaw puzzle that I am very passionate about organising into a beautiful smile that makes a patient happy and self-confident.
What is the best part of your job?
Going on the orthodontic journey with my patients and seeing their delighted faces and confident smiles at the end!
What has been the biggest change in orthodontics you have seen?
More options and better materials in orthodontic treatment procedures to better benefit patients.
What do you do when you are not working?
I am a huge foodie and enjoy trying out new restaurants with good friends. I also love curling up with a good book and getting lost in wonderful stories or relaxing to good music or dramas and comedies on TV. When I can, I also very much enjoy walking through art galleries and museums with family and friends to see different and exotic things and different perspectives. And I like going for a swim regularly which I find refreshing and helps me clear my head.
You love to travel, when we are allowed to travel again where is the first place you will go?
London and Rome; London to visit with old friends and catch a ballet or musical and Rome because it is the most beautiful city in the world to me……and the pasta and gelato are not too shabby either!
You lived in the United Kingdom, what was your favourite thing about living there?
Immersing myself in the exquisite arts and culture scene, beautiful museums, plays and musicals and walking along the river Thames in the weekends taking in the sights and scenery of London.
You are now returning to Singapore after a long time living overseas, what have you missed most about living in Singapore?
My family and the good food here!
What three things are on your bucket list?
Travelling to Tibet, learning to cook Italian cuisine and learning to ice skate.
