Dr Bernard Siew is from Adelaide, Australia, and qualified from University of Adelaide. He has practiced in Singapore for 17 years. Dr Siew’s areas of interest include cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign aligners, dental veneers in porcelain and resin, as well as teeth whitening. He is passionate about managing excessively worn teeth due to lifestyle problems, ranging from grinding to acid reflux. His focus is on prevention and conservative therapy. Dr Bernard is experienced in full oral rehabilitation and implant prosthodontics including crowns, bridges and dentures.
Dr Hancock has more than 30 years experience working in London, Hong Kong, Geneva and Singapore. She also lectured for many years in Hong Kong on Oral Radiology, Periodontology and Conservative Dentistry. She also gained Part 1 of the Fellowship of the Australian College of Dental Surgeons.
Apart from dentistry, Dr Hancock’s expertise includes research experience in tissue culture and Oral pathology. She currently sits on the board of Newcastle University in Singapore (NUIS) and several other voluntary committees. Singapore has been home for quite some time and she is a founding member of the Smilefocus team.
Dr Hancock speaks French, German and some Cantonese.
Dr Elaine Ng was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand. After relocating to Singapore in 1997 she trained as a dentist and worked in both public and private sectors. Dr Ng is experienced in managing trauma having worked in hospital dentistry and Accident & Emergency.
Dr Ng enjoys practicing conservative, restorative, surgical and aesthetic dentistry and aims to treat the patient as a whole, as she believes that educating patients about their health, particularly in the area of prevention, is the key to successful long term management.
Dr Ng is a practitioner of dental sleep medicine, which is an area of dentistry that works closely with otolaryngologists (ENT specialists) in the treatment of patients with snoring and sleep breathing disorders such as obstructive sleep apnoea.
Dr Elaine offers therapy with botox for the management of bruxism (tooth grinding), hypertrophic jaw muscles and its associated symptoms, as well as facial aesthetic treatments.
Dr Francine Chia trained in Adelaide, Australia and has over 15 years clinical experience. Dr Chia has been a member of the Smilefocus team since 2008. She particularly enjoys cosmetic dentistry and has specific training in Invisalign and Cfast. Dr Chia’s motivation is to help improve your smile while encouraging optimal oral hygiene and health.
Dr Alison Roberts graduated from the Manchester, UK in 1997. After a year in practice she returned to the hospital environment to gain valuable surgical experience. A brief period exploring the world led Alison to work as the only dentist on the Cocos Keeling Islands and Christmas Island. On returning to London, Dr Roberts worked in a busy General Practice for 10 years before relocating to Singapore. Dr Roberts is experienced in both Invisalign, Cfast and cosmetic treatment procedures.
Dr Dianne Sainsbury graduated from Otago University in 1997 and has worked in NZ, Australia and the UK, and has also had the opportunity to do voluntary work in Cambodia and Vietnam. Dr Sainsbury is passionate about preventive dentistry. She is experienced in family work, crown and bridge, implants and teeth whitening, and aims to build long-term relationships with parents and their children.
Dr Peter McCorkindale is a dental practitioner with more than 25 years of experience in both private and public general practice in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and United Kingdom. Dr McCorkindale’s experience includes 5 years as a senior dental surgeon in the Royal Navy (UK), 3 of those years with Royal Marines, passing the Green Beret Commando training. For 12 years Dr McCorkindale was principal dentist in his own private practice in New Zealand. He has a special interest in minimal intervention dentistry particularly bonded restorations and cosmetic dentistry. Dr McCorkindale also has experience in placing and restoring implants, wisdom teeth surgery and orthodontics.
Dr Jonathan Luke trained in Otago, New Zealand. He has worked in both public and private clinics in New Zealand and Singapore. He has been a member of the Smile Focus team since 2019.
With an interest in digital dentistry as well as conservative and aesthetic procedures, Dr Luke enjoys caring for all your dental needs with an up to date approach to treatment.
Dr Stephanie Salanitri has been treating children for more than 20 years. Qualifying from University of Queensland and then working with Queensland Health, Dr Salanitri continued post graduate studies in paediatric dentistry. Dr Salanitri is passionate about ensuring children have a positive experience when visiting the dentist.
Dr Salanitri’s experience and skills include: development of preventive programs, treatment of dental trauma, treatment of dental developmental abnormalities, complex restorative treatment, orthodontics – interceptive, removable, fixed, minor oral surgery and behaviour management.
Dr Lee graduated from NUS in 2014 and worked for 3 years as a dental officer at various public clinics and institutions before pursuing her postgraduate studies at the University of British Columbia in Canada. She was selected as chief resident in the final year, and completed her residency in paediatric dentistry this year.
Dr Lee has well-rounded experience in treating children including sedation and GA cases, special needs and medically compromised patients, as well as interceptive orthodontics and trauma. She takes pride in providing a pleasant and positive dental environment where every child can achieve a beautiful, healthy smile.
Dr Lee speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
