Patricia Hancock Dr Hancock has more than 30 years experience working in London, Hong Kong, Geneva and Singapore.

Dr Hancock has over 30 years of experience working in London, Hong Kong, Switzerland and Singapore. She also lectured for many years in Hong Kong on Oral Radiology, Periodontology and Conservative Dentistry.
Her approach to dental treatment is gentle and conservative, encouraging patients to maintain their mouths.
She gained Part 1 of the Australian College of Dental Surgeons Fellowship. Besides dentistry, Dr Hancock’s expertise includes research experience in tissue culture and Oral pathology. Her other passions include handicrafts, dressmaking, tennis and oriental dance.
Singapore has been home for quite some time, and she is a founding member of the Smilefocus team.

Dr Hancock can converse in French and German and welcomes patients with dental anxiety.

Brendan Gin

Dr Gin trained in Melbourne, Australia. After 8 years of private practice he relocated to Singapore in 2000.

Originally from Melbourne, Dr Brendan Gin joined Smile Focus in 2001, being one of the clinic’s founding General Dentists. After graduating in 1991 from the University of Melbourne, he spent nine years in private practice before relocating to Singapore. Dr Gin has a broad range of experience in treating adults and children, strongly emphasizing preventive dentistry. His treatment philosophy is centered around a minimally invasive approach using conventional and digital technologies. He has a particular interest in Crown, Bridge and Implant Restorations. With over 30 years of experience, his gentle and caring manner has created a loyal contingent of followers who appreciate his calming effect on even the most nervous patients.

Christina Liew

Dr Christina Liew trained in Melbourne, Australia and relocated to Singapore. She is a long serving member of the Smilefocus team having joined in 2003.

Dr Liew enjoys all facets of dentistry. She is a general dentist who is caring, gentle and understanding. She will take the time to listen to individuals and will cater to the needs of her patients.

Dr Liew is always interested in meeting people from all walks of life and loves to travel. She is also passionate about fitness and is a competitive road cyclist and a qualified fitness trainer.

Elaine Ng

Dr Elaine Ng was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand. After relocating to Singapore in 1997 she trained as a dentist and worked in both public and private sectors.

Dr Elaine Ng has practiced at Smilefocus for the last 18 years, and a Dental Sleep Medicine practitioner since 2008. Dr Ng is a member of the Australiasian Sleep Association and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. She believes in educating patients about their health, particularly in the area of prevention, which is the key to successful long-term management.

As a dental sleep medicine practitioner, Dr Elaine Ng is involved in an area of dentistry that works closely with sleep physicians in screening and treating patients with sleep breathing disorders, ranging from benign snoring to obstructive sleep apnoea and UARS. She also works with sleep psychologists and speech pathologists for complete management of patients with sleep, breathing and functional swallowing issues. Our comprehensive sleep breathing disorder screening program at Smilefocus was established by Dr Ng.

Dr Ng offers Botox treatment and alternative therapies for managing bruxism (tooth grinding), hypertrophic jaw muscles and associated symptoms, and facial aesthetic treatments.

Francine Chia

Dr Francine Chia trained in Adelaide, Australia and has over 15 years clinical experience.

Dr Chia particularly enjoys cosmetic and restorative dentistry and has specific training in Invisalign. Dr Chia is happy to work with anxious and nervous patients and enjoys motivating nervous patients to become regular and confident clients! She aims to help improve your smile and confidence while encouraging optimal oral hygiene and health.

Dr Chia is passionate about food and travel. In addition, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the great outdoors!

Alison Roberts

Dr Alison Roberts graduated from the Manchester, UK in 1997.

Dr Alison Roberts graduated from Manchester, UK, in 1997. After a year in practice, she returned to the hospital environment to gain valuable surgical experience. A brief period exploring the world led Alison to work as the only dentist on the Cocos Keeling Islands and Christmas Island. On returning to London, Dr Roberts worked in a busy General Practice for ten years before relocating to Singapore. Dr Roberts is experienced in both Invisalign, Cfast and cosmetic treatment procedures.

Teodora Kent

Dr. Teodora Kent is a kind and empathetic dentist who takes the utmost care of her patients.

Dr Teodora Kent is a kind and empathetic dentist who takes the utmost care of her patients. She has been at Smilefocus since 2014. She graduated in 2009 with first-class honours from her Bachelor of Dental Science, and her honours research has been published internationally. Dr Kent is a general dentist with a particular interest in restorative, cosmetic and paediatric dentistry. Dr Kent also speaks Serbian.

Dr Kent believes that healthcare and dentistry revolve around people. She takes time at the start of every appointment to get to know her patients before the commencement of any treatment. Dr Kent quickly builds rapport with people of all ages and will do all she can to make you smile and possibly even laugh.

In Dr Kent’s spare time, she enjoys reading, learning about design and interiors, and travelling. She has recently started indoor rock climbing and bouldering.

Jonathan Luke

Dr Jonathan Luke trained in Otago, New Zealand. He has worked in both public and private clinics in New Zealand and Singapore.

Carol Tam

Dr Carol Tam graduated from the National University of Singapore Dental School with a Bachelor in Dental Surgery in 2000.

Dr Tam has practised dental surgery in both Singapore and Hong Kong for over 20 years. Dr Tam prioritises patient comfort with a warm demeanour and excellent clinical skillset, as reflected by her meticulous attention to detail and effective dentist-patient communication.

Dr Tam has experience serving a diverse patient group, including senior corporate executives, A-List media and sports personalities, and their respective family members. She practises extensive dental treatments and has a keen interest in root canal treatment, cosmetic dentistry (veneers, crowns, Invisalign etc.) and paediatric dental care.

She has volunteered as a pro-bono dentist at the Po Leung Kuk Residential Child Care Service (in Hong Kong), providing expert dental treatment to underprivileged and orphaned children.

Dr Tam enjoys embracing the latest dental trends outside the clinic and is committed to lifelong learning. She enjoys spending precious time with her family and always keep a healthy work-life balance.
